The beauty and non-functionality

The Dior Saddle Bag has become a global hit. The model alludes to – as the name suggests – the saddle. The producer’s incredible step was to divide the bag into … a purse and a strap.

In all promotional materials the handbag always had THIS beautiful strap studded with metal ornaments, which amazingly complemented the rather minimalist saddle pattern.
Meanwhile, it turned out that the strap is be … bought for the additional 50% of the price of the bag. The world is ending! And yet – I gave up, celebrating my 33th birthday in Dubai with the classic Blue Dior Oblique Jacquard

The bag is a classic and I will not deny its refined beauty but at the same time it is the least functional among all I have in my collection.
And it only got worse. Dior began to flood us with various versions of the iconic saddle bag – in the fabric version, with a monogram print, in grained or super smooth leather.

Season after season, they tempted me and tempted, a saint would not stand that. Finally I bought another one – a beautiful version of Black Camouflage Embroidery with Multicolour Flowers by Maria Grazia Chiuri.

And although it is beautiful from the outside, there is no pocket insid, which makes it even less functional than the Blue Oblique Jacquard (there is a pocket there).

Since we are talking about complaining – either I am unlucky or the www.dior.com store is not a world champion in terms of user’s experience. They did not accept my complaint about the too small shoes – as the reason, giving a scratch that appeared god knows where (???), the invoice was badly displayed, invoices duplicate sending was delayed and they do disappear from the user’s profile after 3 months, they rejected my working card several times during shopping (system error).

It all looks kind of … not luxurious. Well, I have to live with it.
