For all the women whose work is where their laptops are, today we are reviewing the bags that can accommodate a MacBook Pro or other 13.5-inch laptop.
When I was buying a Lady Dior purse, I was a happy owner of a Rose Gold 12 inch MacBook. Before I said sacred yes, I made sure that the laptop fits in the purse completely. Imagine the look of a Harrods saleswoman wearing velvet gloves, when I asked her, to help me put my dusty laptop into the brand new purse. We managed to do it. We pushed it in together, the transaction was finished.
My joy did not last long – the processor in the Macbook crashed and the company IT specialist recommended working on the Macbook 13. With the amount of information processed by me, it was a much better option.
As you can see, the new larger laptop does not fit in Dior. “It’s hard, but what can you do” I thought, thinking about other bags that can cope with this task.
If you are looking for a laptop bag and find nothing … try to look in the men’s section. I found my two favourite Gucci bags right there.
One is from 2016, the XL Leather Gucci Ghost Tote. It works brilliantly – if I try hard, I can put my laptop and my training outfit in it. The downside of the bag is the lack of an inside lock – the purse is within an easy reach of any pickpocket.
That’s why I don’t carry a purse 🙂 – cash and cards lie loose and separately (important) at the bottom of the bag. It’s a bit of a mess but you can get used to it.
A leather men’s backpack from the Coco Capitan collection with the perverse slogan “what will we do with all that future” joined my collection in 2017. It is also a men’s backpack.
I combined it with a key ring imitating a credit card. It is made of metal and every time I approach the car, I feel my husband’s cold look, fearing that I will scratch the car with the key ring.
Although the backpack does not have a sewn-in pocket inside for e.g. a card or house keys, it is my 10/10 and I love it. We have survived many extreme experiences together and I intend to use it until I retire. It looks like new all the time. It’s impossible to find any signs of heavy use. And of course, a laptop fits into it perfectly
The last purchase from 2020 – Louis Vuitton handbag (you can see that I bought it relatively recently – after all, only after I turned 30 I liked brown bags!)
The manufacturer’s description: his version of the Carry It for Spring-Summer 2020 features Louis Vuitton’s signature Monogram Reverse canvas with the Video print for a playful effect. Its sleek design, modelled on museum tote bags, integrates practical features like a removable zipped clutch. Lightweight and versatile for everyday use, it also makes an ideal travel bag.
The user’s description: the handle, although thin, will survive heavy loads on the shoulder. The zipper in the middle prevents anything from falling out. The handbag contains a purse pinned on a belt. It is a very functional tote bag. and holds a laptop. I am very pleased and LV is for me an unsurpassed master of functionality and beauty. I don’t know any other company that combines colours so brilliantly. I admire LV as an entrepreneur and I am glad to have a lifetime (hopefully) role model to follow.
